Outlook Client Log In Issues Friday 26th February 2021 12:00:00


Original issue: Some users are having difficulties logging into the Microsoft Outlook Client. Please use the web version of Outlook as a work around while we investigate the issue.

Issue:

Outlook client will not connect to Exchange Online. The message “Trying to Connect” is usually displayed in the bottom right corner of the Outlook Client. The OneDrive app may also be impacted. Outlook on the web (Outlook OWA) is not impacted.

Solution.

The issue will resolve itself over time, but you can complete the following steps to correct the issue, or you can use the web client.

Log out of Outlook client.

Open Outlook Client

Go to File > Office Account

Select Sign Out under User Information

Reoot the computer.

Log into the computer after it reboots.

Launch Outlook Client and follow all prompts to log in.

You should see "All Folders are up to date." and "Connected to:Microsoft Exchange" in the bottom left.

Your issue is now resolved.
